Elastic Field was founded in 2011 – a free-form music project rooted in ambient, lounge, trip hop, downbeat, jazz, and subtle electronic textures. The sound is reflective, immersive, and emotional – often instrumental, sometimes featuring voice fragments or spoken word passages.
In 2012, the debut album “Non Smokers Nightmare” introduced a world of atmospheric contrasts and sonic minimalism. The EP Lost and Found followed in November 2012.
One year later, the follow-up “Another Non Smokers Nightmare” (2013) deepened that sound – darker, more focused, but equally open and textured. In 2026, Elastic Field releases its third album, Smoke & Static — eleven tracks of trip hop and downbeat fusion, produced with modern tools while staying true to the project's smoky, nocturnal roots.
